Resolve a squawk

Close a squawk once the work is done. Resolved squawks are terminal — the asset’s airworthiness is recalculated, and the squawk no longer counts as active.

  • You must be an owner or admin.
  • An open or deferred squawk can be resolved. pending squawks must be confirmed first (or dismissed); resolved and dismissed squawks are already terminal.
  • Resolving a grounding squawk restores the asset’s airworthiness (provided no other grounding squawks remain).
  1. Open the squawk detail. Route: /squawks/:squawkId.
  2. Under Admin Actions, tap Resolve.
  3. Enter Resolution Notes describing how the issue was resolved (what parts, what was done, any sign-off details).
  4. Tap Resolve to confirm.

You see Squawk resolved. The squawk moves to resolved and the squawk detail screen shows Resolved on: [date] and By: [your name].

  • “Failed to resolve” — check your connection and retry.
  • Reopening a resolved squawk is not supported. If the issue recurs, report a fresh squawk that references the original.
