Usage log
A usage log records one session of asset use against a specific booking. For aircraft, that is one flight — or one leg of a multi-leg booking. Multiple logs can exist on a single booking, for example three flights during a week-long hire.
Each log carries date, meter readings, clock times, landings and touch-and-gos, optional notes and a photo, and snapshots of the rates in force when the log was saved. The snapshot is what finalisation uses later — subsequent rate changes do not retroactively alter a saved log’s charge.
A usage log is not yet a financial record. Charges post to the ledger only when the booking is finalised.
