Member balance
A member balance is the signed sum of every transaction on a member’s ledger. It is the one number that answers “what do I owe (or am I owed) in this syndicate right now?”
A positive balance means the member owes the syndicate money. A negative balance means the syndicate owes the member. Zero is zero. The figure is in the syndicate’s currency and is shown without VAT.
Each syndicate has its own balance. My Balances on the home shell aggregates them across every syndicate you belong to.
