Approval status
Approval status is the position a booking holds in the admin-approval workflow. When a syndicate requires booking approval, a member’s new booking starts pending. An admin then either confirms it (status becomes confirmed) or rejects it (status becomes rejected).
Approval only applies to regular members; admin and owner bookings skip the pending queue, even when approval is required for others. A member cannot “reject” their own booking — they cancel, which is distinct from rejection.
Rejection is kept separate from cancellation so that a member sees clearly that someone else declined their booking, rather than a self-service cancel.
