Member rate
A member rate is a named package of financial terms that a syndicate assigns to a member. Every member is on exactly one member rate. The rate defines the member’s periodic dues, and a rate modifier that adjusts the asset’s base usage rate to produce the member’s effective rate.
Multiple member rates run side by side in one syndicate. That is how a syndicate can offer an equity member (low hourly, monthly dues) and a member on the “renter” rate (higher hourly, small annual fee) without any configuration change to the asset itself.
Internally a member rate is called a billing scheme — the two words are synonyms.
