Replace-on-upload
Replace-on-upload is Syndik8’s pattern for handling document renewals. When you upload a new file to replace an existing document — for instance, a renewed ARC against the row that held the previous year’s ARC — the new file substitutes the old one in a single operation. The document keeps its place in the library; the old file is removed from storage.
There is no version history. Syndik8 stores one file per document. The same pattern applies to pilot documents (medical and licence), where at most one of each is on file at any time.
