Syndicate

A syndicate is a group of people who share a high-value asset and split the scheduling, the running costs, and the paperwork of ownership. The pattern is familiar in general aviation, where a group of pilots co-owns an aircraft.

In Syndik8, a syndicate is the primary unit of organisation. Every asset, booking, usage log, maintenance item, and financial transaction belongs to exactly one syndicate. Each syndicate is independent of the others: a user can belong to many syndicates, but data never crosses between them.

Note the capitalisation: Syndik8 is the product (with the numeral 8); syndicate is the group of people and their shared asset. The two words are deliberately different.
