Billing basis (billed measure)
The billed measure (shown on the Usage capture screen as Bill on) decides which of a usage log’s captured time values the usage rate prices. (This is the setting older versions called the “billing basis”.) A syndicate first chooses which measures the log captures, then bills on exactly one of them:
- Engine meter: charge on the meter delta (Hobbs, tacho, or custom).
- Block time: charge on off-blocks to on-blocks wall-clock time.
- Airborne time: charge on the measured time aloft:
landing − takeoff(wheels up to wheels down). It is zero when the wheels times are not captured; there is no estimate from block time.
The billed measure must be one of the captured measures: you can only bill on the engine meter if the log captures it, only on block time if it captures off/on-blocks, and only on airborne time if it captures takeoff/landing. Taxi minutes do not affect any of these charges.
Changing the billed measure affects future logs only. Existing logs keep the snapshotted values they were saved with.
