Maintenance item
A maintenance item is a scheduled task tracked against a single asset — an annual inspection, a 50-hour check, an ARC renewal, an oil change. Each item records its name, its interval, when it was last completed, and its calculated due point.
Intervals are expressed in hours (usage-based), days (calendar-based), or cycles (landings plus touch-and-gos). The item’s status (ok, approaching, dueSoon, overdue, completed) is computed from how much interval remains.
An item that is overdue grounds the asset — see airworthiness. Items can be one-off or recurring; recurring items auto-create a next instance when they are completed.
