Asset type
The asset type tells Syndik8 what kind of thing this is — aircraft, boat, property, vehicle, or generic — and adjusts the forms, fields, and labels to match. Aircraft have registrations and Hobbs meters; boats have home-berth fields; properties have nightly billing modes.
Only aircraft is fully exposed in the UI today. The other types are defined in the database and reachable through imports but have no create flow. That means a new syndicate today creates an aircraft.
The set of asset types is maintained by the platform. Custom asset types are not creatable from the UI at launch.
